'Love Island USA' Aftersun tonight: Will dumped islanders return before Casa Amor?

New York’s own Ciara Miller and TikTok personality Tefi Pessoa will take over our screens tonight for the second episode of ‘Love Island USA’ ‘Aftersun.’

Saturday is here, which means we have successfully made it through the third week of ‘Love Island USA’ Season 8. The week came to a dramatic end when the islanders’ decision to dump Gabe Vasconcelos and Sol Dean caused a tense argument between the safe boys and girls.

While Friday’s episode showed the resolution between the two groups, the drama is only expected to get more intense as it was announced that the biggest relationship test of the season, Casa Amor, will start on Sunday.

Will Sol and Gabe make an appearance on tonight’s episode of ‘Aftersun?’ And could a New York “bombshell” finally make an appearance during Casa Amor week?

Here is everything you need to know about tonight’s episode of ‘Love Island USA’ and what is in store for Casa Amor.

Will there be a new ‘Love Island USA’ episode tonight?

Yes and no. While it won’t look like the usual new episodes, where we watch our favorite islanders explore their connections in the villa, we will get to see another episode of ‘Aftersun’ tonight, Saturday, June 20.

What is ‘Aftersun’?

‘Aftersun’ is ‘Love Island’s’ weekly talk show where the hosts break down all of the gossip and biggest news from the previous week’s episode.

Last week, hosts Miller and Pessoa sat down in the ‘Aftersun’ studio for the first episode of the season, where they showed behind-the-scenes clips of Sean and Beatriz getting their phones immediately after being dumped from the villa- a new, and well-received twist on ‘Aftersun.’

The two dumped islanders then had their first interviews straight out of the villa with the two hosts, where they spoke of their experiences on the show, provided gossip from inside the villa and addressed the viewers’ questions and criticisms.

It’s more than likely that Sol and Gabe will make similar appearances on ‘Aftersun’ tonight. Before walking out of the villa after their dumping, they both made it clear to the other islanders that they felt their decisions were unfair.

The two said that the whole point of ‘Love Island’ is to explore all connections and not to stay in the same day-one couple. Sol, who felt like she didn’t get the chance to build connections with any of the guys because they seemed closed off in their couple, said they were acting like they were on “couple island,” not ‘Love Island.’

Gabe, whom the girls decided to dump because they thought he wouldn’t ever be content in his couple and kept looking for the next best thing, said he felt like he was doing what they came to do on ‘Love Island’: explore.

How will Sol and Gabe feel about their dumping now that they’ve had a couple of days outside of the villa? We will have to tune into ‘Aftersun’ tonight to find out.

What is Casa Amor and when does it start?

Casa Amor is a long-standing tradition in the ‘Love Island’ franchise, where the couples are put up against their biggest test of the season.

For one week, all couples are split up, with the girls and boys in two separate villas. Here’s the twist: the two groups are not alone in the villas. A group of new boy “bombshells” move into the girls’ villa, while a group of new girl “bombshells” move in with the boys. Throughout that week, challenges are played, relationships are tested and new connections are formed.

At the end of Casa Amor, each islander has to decide whether they want to stay with their original couple or recouple with one of the new “bombshells.”

‘Love Island USA’ announced that Casa Amor will start at the end of Sunday’s episode, June 21. However, the first full episode of Season 8 Casa Amor week will start with a 90-minute episode on Monday, June 22, which, for the first time in ‘Love Island’ history, will air at movie theaters across the country.

Who are the current couples of ‘Love Island USA’ Season 8?

At the end of week 3 of ‘Love Island USA,’ the current couples are:

Jen and Caleb are now single since their couples were dumped from the villa.
