Miami Dolphins continue to be impressed by undrafted Wisconsin star

The Miami Dolphins may have gotten the biggest steal of the season with Mason Reiger.

The former Wisconsin Badgers defensive end stands 6-foot-5, 250 pounds. Going undrafted certainly wasn’t on his bingo card, but he just so happened to fall right into the Dolphins’ lap.

Miami is in a rebuild, no doubt, but players like Reiger are what could make them special in 2026 and beyond.

Once again, Reiger’s name has come up as a name to watch. This time around, it’s 247Sports Payne Blazevich on the coverage.

Blazevich said Reiger, “hasn’t slowed down since reporting to minicamp,” adding, “Reiger’s combination of length, athleticism and tenacity coming off the edge, the traits that made him an instant impact addition at Wisconsin, have translated in Miami.”

In addition, Blazevich noted how desperately the Dolphins need younger talent to contribute in the pass rushing unit.

None of this buzz guaranteed Reiger a spot on the 53-man roster, far from it, but he’s been one of the most talked about Badgers this offseason alongside Atlanta Falcons’ Vinny Anthony III.
