Flood warnings extended in parts of Escambia, Santa Rosa counties

Despite a pause in the rain in the Pensacola area, the National Weather Service has extended flood warnings around multiple rivers in both Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

Here’s a list of warnings issued throughout the morning Friday, some of which will continue throughout the weekend.

Flood warnings in effect in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day in the Pensacola area today. Overnight, showers and thunderstorms are likely before 1 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 a m.
