Escambia County officials closed the bridge on Barrineau Park Road at about 10:30 a.m. Friday. It will remain closed until further notice for the safety of the public. The section of Barrineau Park Road is closed at Alabama 112 and at County Road 99. Traffic will be detoured via Beulah Road.
Santa Rosa closed roads
Several roadways in north Santa Rosa County are currently closed due to flooding, particularly the following areas:
Drivers should use extreme caution throughout the northern end of the county and use alternative routes.
Milton closes Riverwalk, Carpenter’s Park & Splash Pad
The city of Milton has closed The Milton Riverwalk, Russell Harber Landing and Carpenter’s Park, including the splash pad, until Monday, June 22. Additionally, all city boat ramps are closed.
Rising waters due to the effects from Tropical Storm Arthur make these low-lying areas unsafe. The Blackwater River is currently forecast to crest Saturday evening into Sunday morning.
