LANCASTER — Ohio’s two-year capital budget, which was signed by Governor Mike DeWine this week, is bringing millions of dollars to projects in Fairfield County.
The capital budget bill is for fiscal years 2027 and 2028 and includes a total of $3.7 billion in appropriations.
The local project highlights include:
“Investing into our communities is paramount to keeping Ohio competitive for years to come,” said Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) in a news release after the Ohio Senate had passed it. “These investments add more than $6.8 million into our local economies and ensures that the projects our communities care about receive the funding they need.”
State Representative Jeff LaRe (R-Violet Twp.) also voted in support of Ohio’s Capital Budget bill.
“I am proud to advocate for our communities and bring tax dollars home to our families,” said LaRe.
