Everett reveals new hall of fame inductees

A class featuring three individuals, a pair of track relay teams and a state championship team will be inducted into the Lansing Everett Athletic Hall of Fame in October.

The individual inductees are JB Burrell (swimming), Greg Johnson (wrestling) and Brent Scott (basketball). They will be joined by the 1985 girls track relay team of Jackie Banks, Tammy Green, Dana Holman and Sherry Tree and the 1985 boys track state champion 400 relay team of Andy Bunnell, Chuck Phillips, Kenny Thompson and Rodney Whittington.

The 1985 boys track team that won a Class A state title is also being inducted.

The induction ceremony will take place Saturday, Oct. 10, at the auditorium at Everett High School. The inductees will be recognized during halftime of Everett’s football game Friday, Oct. 9.
