Michigan storms dumped nearly 2 inches of rain Wednesday. See totals

Thunderstorms in southern Michigan on Wednesday, June 17, didn’t produce the heaviest predicted rain, but still dumped nearly 2 inches in some places as they moved across the state.

On Wednesday, June 17, a flood watch was issued for potential flash flooding from the nearly all-day rain showers, though Michigan appeared to have missed the worst of yesterday’s storms. The Grand Rapids NWS office said some areas could see up to 5 inches of rain.
