Police are investigating a hit-and-run after a pedestrian was struck by a passing vehicle early Thursday morning in northeast Rochester.
Woman struck, seriously injured
The incident occurred at Clifford and Portland avenues just after midnight on Thursday, June 18, said Lt. Nicholas Adams of the Rochester Police Department.
Emergency responders found a 60-year-old woman who received multiple injuries after she was struck by a passing vehicle, Adams said.
Critical but stable
The woman was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. She was listed in critical but stable condition Thursday morning, according to police.
Hit-and-run
The involved vehicle fled the scene before police arrived, Adams said. The vehicle has not been located. Officers are investigating the crash and are searching for the vehicle.
Anyone with information or who has witnessed the crash is asked to call 911.
