Texas A&M star WR snubbed by On3's Top 10 CFB receiver rankings

Sometimes, even the most trusted analysts in the college football media landscape forget to include much-deserved players in positional rankings, and while Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed has plenty to prove, and shouldn’t be listed as a Top 10-ranked signal caller nationally, his star wide receiver Mario Craver certainly deserves more attention this offseason.

After transferring from Mississippi State before the 2026 season, Mario Craver quickly became one of Marcel Reed’s favorite targets, reeling in a career high 59 receptions, 917 yards, and four touchdowns, while averaging 15.5 yards per reception. During the Aggies’ Week 3 road test vs. Notre Dame, Craver recorded 207 yards, including his memorable 86-yard touchdown that galvanized the Aggie offense to pull off the historic upset.

Entering the 2026 season, Craver is the leader in the wide receiver room, and after KC Concepcion, who led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns last season, was selected 24th overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2026 NFL Draft, third-year coach Mike Elko landed Alabama transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton, whose 6’4″ frame and experience provide Marcel Reed another valuable receiving weapon.

On Monday, On3 analyst Ari Wasserman released his list of the top 10 college football wide receivers, and to much surprise, Mario Craver was not considered, despite being named to Phil Steele’s preseason All-America Team, and is expected to lead the Aggies in several categories this fall.

Similar to unanimous All-American edge Cashius Howell’s lack of preseason disrespect, all Mario Craver can do is play his best football as soon as the 2026 campaign kicks off against Missouri State on Saturday, Sept. 5.
