FSU softball standout Isa Torres is entering the transfer portal. The reigning ACC Player of the Year announced the news on social media and will spend her senior year elsewhere.
Torres is one of the best players in program history and was expected to be their best player in the 2027 season. She is the fourth Seminole to enter the transfer portal, with fellow starter and All-American Jaysoni Beachum also departing via the portal
She rewrote FSU’s record books in 2026, setting school records for batting average (.530), runs (78), slugging percentage (.978), and on-base percentage (.591). Torres also set the NCAA record for hits in consecutive at-bats with 16, and her 98 hits were the second-most in school history.
Torres is now the best player in the transfer portal, and it is a brutal loss for the Seminoles. Here is a look at how FSU fans reacted to the news.
