2026 Florida Classic date set for Bethune-Cookman and FAMU

The date for the annual Florida Classic has been set.

Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M will meet for the 47th time in the Florida Classic on Nov. 21 at 3:30 p.m. at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, according to a press release from Florida Citrus Sports and the Florida Classic Consortium on June 3.

The last 29 Classics since 1997 have been played at Camping World Stadium, but the venue will look a little different in its 30th hosting of the event. It’s currently undergoing a $400 million renovation set for completion in the summer of 2027.

As a result, the traditional 60,219-seat capacity is expected to be impacted for the 2026 Florida Classic and 71st all-time meeting between the two schools. Nonetheless, it’ll still take place in the same place it’s been played since 1997.

“The Florida Classic is one of the most meaningful traditions in HBCU athletics, and we are excited to once again take the field at Camping World Stadium in Downtown Orlando,” Bethune-Cookman president Dr. Albert Mosley said in the release. “With renovations expected to continue well into the season, Bethune-Cookman is collaborating with Florida A&M and Florida Citrus Sports to ensure fans have the outstanding experience they’ve come to expect.”

As usual, it will be Bethune-Cookman’s final game of the regular season, and the Wildcats will look to pick up a consecutive victory over the Rattlers after a 38-34 victory in the 2025 edition of the rivalry game.
