Two former Notre Dame stars are on the College Football HOF ballot

Notre Dame could be adding two of its legendary players to the College Football Hall of Fame, as they have made the 2027 ballot.

Linebacker Manti Te’o was the biggest Irish name to be nominated, and should be one of the favorites to make it in. He had quite the decorated career in South Bend as he was the first player to win the Maxwell, Walter Camp, Chuck Bednarik, Butkus, Lombardi and Nagurski awards in the same season. Te’o also finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting in 2012. He was also on the ballot last year, but didn’t get enough votes to get in.

The other former Notre Dame star to make the list was defensive back Luther Bradley, who was a First-Team All-American in 1977 leading the Irish to a National Championship. He is the programs career leader in interceptions with 17.

The voting will end on the first of July, and the inductees will be named at a later date.
