Former Wisconsin Badgers great Nick Herbig has earned a massive payday with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 24-year-old, who accumulated 134 total tackles in his three-year career for the Badgers, just signed a four-year, $100 million deal to stay in Pittsburgh.
Herbig will earn $42M guaranteed, according to Adam Schefter and Mike Garafolo.
Fresh off a stellar year with a career high 7.5 sacks, the former No. 132 overall pick doesn’t have to worry about the fourth and final year on his rookie contract.
After earning just over $4M in his rookie deal, Herbig’s value skyrocketed due to his work ethic and performances on the field in his first 45 NFL games.
Through those 45 games, Herbig has recorded 79 total tackles, 53 of which are solo. Other than his impressive sack total from a year ago, he also recorded his first career interception which he returned for an astonishing 41 yards.
