North Bay Haven’s Addison Mallon has been named the Bay County softball player of the year after a dominant season in the circle. The sophomore had a 19-6 record, a 2.63 ERA and 174 strikeouts in 125 innings pitched. She batted .361 with 30 hits, 34 runs scored, 24 RBIs and a home run.
Coach of the Year: Butch Bernard (North Bay Haven)
The Lady Buccaneers finished the season with a county-best 21-6 record, along with a Class 2A-1 district championship and Class 2A Region 1 championship. The team concluded the season in the state Final Four. North Bay Haven scored 223 runs this season, averaging 8.2 runs per game.
