Joy now has its own Columbus festival.
Zora’s House will host Joyfest 1 to 8 p.m. this Saturday, June 6, at Columbus Commons, 160 S. High St. Admission is free.
Watch LC Johnson, the CEO and founder of Zora’s House, explain the power of joy in the video below.
“There are a ton of reasons right now to feel the doom and gloom,” she says. ” At Zora’s House, we’ve been thinking a lot about ‘joy.’ Not as this frivolous emotion but actually as something that is, in and of itself, a birthright and an act of resistance.”
Joyfest will include a marketplace featuring handcrafted goods, unique fashion, art, wellness products, and food. It highlights women+ of color entrepreneurs, artists, and other creatives.
