Former Iowa women’s basketball star Hannah Stuelke will begin her professional career in Italy.
The Cedar Rapids Washington alum has signed a contract with Serie A1 side Broni.
Stuelke earned second-team All-Big Ten honors from the coaches and media after her senior season with the Hawkeyes. It was her third second-team selection of her career.
Stuelke was seen as a possible WNBA Draft pick, but she was not selected in the April 13 event.
Stuelke’s 1,565 career points ranks 14th all-time in Hawkeye program history. Her 910 career rebounds ties for fifth all-time in school history. She is one of four Hawkeyes in program history to record 1,550 points and 900 rebounds in a career.
