Green Bay’s summer concert calendar just landed a headbangers ball at the ballpark.
Legendary metal band Megadeth will perform Aug. 1 at Capital Credit Union Park in Ashwaubenon.
Advance tickets are priced at $83.75 general admission field, $109.54 pit, $99.23 grandstand and $264.29 suite. They go on sale at 10 a.m. May 22 at etix.com. There’s also a wide variety of VIP packages available.
Gates will open at 5 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show. It’s a rain-or-shine event. Death metal band Obituary will open.
It has been four years since the pioneering thrash metal band fronted by founder, vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine last unleashed such classics as “Peace Sells,” “Hangar 18” and “Symphony of Destruction” on Green Bay. The group, which dates back to the 1980s, played a joint show with Lamb of God in 2022 at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon.
Megadeth is the second concert announced by EPIC Event Center for the nearby Capital Credit Union Park this summer. Lynyrd Skynrd, with Mark Farner’s American Band, will be there Sept. 3.
