St. Lucie County Fire District Firefighter Connor Whitehead has died, though the Fire District released little additional information.
The Fire District on May 31 publicly announced the death “of a dedicated firefighter, a valued member of the St. Lucie County Fire District family, a loving son and brother, and a friend to many,” but no name was given.
On June 1, Fire District spokesperson Taylor Peeden said Whitehead is the deceased.
Peeden declined to provide the date of Whitehead’s passing, or information about the circumstances of his passing.
Peeden also stated it has not been determined whether the death happened in the line of duty.
Asked when Whitehead joined the Fire District and in what city he died, Peeden did not respond.
No other information was immediately available.
