Palm Beach County professionals on the move for the week of June 1

In our weekly list of business people on the move, we highlight Palm Beach County professionals who are making a difference. These are people from across the spectrum of public and private endeavors, those working in charities, court houses, private practices and beyond. They are moving up within their industry, advancing their careers and standing out for their services within our community.

South Florida Fair names board chairman, several board members

Theresa LePore has been elected chair of the South Florida Fair’s board of trustees and directors. She will remain in this volunteer position through June 30, 2028. She succeeds Becky Isiminger. LePore will work alongside president and CEO Matt Wallsmith and the board to provide governance and strategic leadership. LePore had a 34-year career in the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Office where she was elected as supervisor of elections in 1996. Charles Russo, Deborah Rousseau, Eric Schneider and Ashley Brewer were all added to the board. Russo is a lifelong resident of Palm Beach County and dedicated volunteer at the South Florida Fair since 1984. Rousseau began her career with Community Savings in North Palm Beach in 1977 where she eventually became senior vice president. Schneider serves as a principal planner for the city of West Palm Beach. Brewer was born and raised in Pahokee and works in the accounting office at Rouge River Farms.

Fox Rothchild adds partner

West Palm Beach-based attorney Aimee K. Arce has been elevated to partner at Fox Rothschild. Arce is a member of their taxation and wealth planning department and helps clients strategically maximize business opportunities while minimizing tax exposure. She is skilled in all aspects of estate planning and wealth management, including trust creation, implementation and administration, and is well versed in income, estate, gift and generation-skipping taxes.

Murray Guari Perry Trial Attorneys PL names new partner

The partners of Murray Guari Perry Trial Attorneys PL recently announced the promotion of Keith R. Hedrick to partner. Hedrick’s focus is on personal injury and wrongful death matters, including car accident and premises liability cases. Before joining Murray Guari Perry, he worked as an associate attorney for a large personal injury defense firm, representing insurance companies. Hedrick earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law.

B’Nai Torah Congregation rabbi earns award

Rabbi Hector Epelbaum has been named the 2026 recipient of the prestigious Rabbi Dr. Barry and Anita Kinzbrunner Award. The award, which is presented by the Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC), is one of the organization’s highest honors, recognizing individuals who demonstrate extraordinary compassion, dedication to pastoral care, and a lifelong commitment to acts of loving kindness. Epelbaum’s work spans years of service supporting individuals and families in some of life’s most vulnerable moments — across hospitals, hospices, long-term care settings, and the broader community. The award will be presented during NAJC’s Annual Conference Awards Dinner at the West Palm Beach Marriott on Tuesday, June 2.

The Lord’s Place CEO honored

The Lord’s Place CEO Christine Frederick received the first-ever Cara Malave Legacy Award as part of the Flite Center’s 8th Annual Heroes Luncheon on April 17. The event recognized unsung heroes who support and dedicate their lives to ensuring no youth travels the road to adulthood alone. Malave served Flite Center for eight years as director of programs then chief program officer, before her unexpected death in August 2025. She devoted her life to uplifting and empowering young people, especially those navigating the transition to independence. Frederick’s legacy, similar to Malave’s, is one of service, passion, and advocacy: seen both in the programs they built and the lives they changed. Frederick described Malave as “the person who stayed when things got hard. ” For more than 45 years, The Lord’s Place has been working to break the cycle of homelessness for men, women, and children in Palm Beach County.

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League appoints new CEO

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League recently announced the appointment of Dr. Alyssa Comroe as chief executive officer, welcoming a new chapter of leadership for Palm Beach County’s oldest animal welfare organization. A respected and valued leader within the organization, Comroe has served as director of veterinary medicine for the past five years. She brings exceptional leadership, strategic expertise, and a deep passion for animal welfare to her new role. Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is an independent nonprofit organization, operating continuously since 1925. Peggy Adams provides critical services to more than 35,000 animals each year and collaborates with local area organizations to expand the lifesaving work in Palm Beach County.
