After opening restaurants in St. Augustine and Middleburg earlier this year, Chipotle Mexican Grill is set to open another restaurant in Jacksonville.
On Tuesday, June 2, the popular fast-casual Mexican restaurant will open at 7952 Normandy Blvd., bringing the chain’s signature made-to-order tacos, burritos, salads and bowls to heart of the city’s Westside, the company announced in a news release.
The new restaurant will feature the chain’s “Chipotlane,” a drive-thru pick-up lane that allows guests to pick up digital orders without leaving their cars, which made its Florida debut in 2019 at Chipotle’s first Westside location at 9671 Argyle Forest Blvd.
The opening comes some five months after Chipotle opened restaurants in Middleburg, at 1680 Blanding Blvd., and in St. Augustine, at 4285 US1 in the Publix-anchored Moultrie Square.
More Chipotle restaurants coming to Jacksonville area
Other Chipotle locations in the works include one at 480 Durbin Park Pavilion Drive, Suite 104, in the former Rumble Boxing space near Firehouse Subs, Jana Steakhouse and Keke’s Breakfast Cafe at the Pavilion at Durbin Park retail center in Saint Johns; and at the proposed Walmart Supercenter World Commerce Center, at 405 International Golf Parkway, where a 2,300-square-foot Chipotle would join a proposed 2,700-square-foot Panda Express with drive-through, according to plans filed with the county and state.
The new Normandy Boulevard restaurant will be open 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
