Most people who receive Social Security retirement benefits will see their monthly payments in June 2026 as usual — with checks and direct deposits distributed according to the Social Security Administration’s standard schedule.
Here’s more on payments, including the June payment for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients. While SSI and Social Security are separate programs, about half of SSI recipients also receive Social Security, which is why the distinction matters.

Will I receive a SSI payment in June 2026?
Yes. The monthly SSI payment will land on its regular scheduled date. In June that is on Monday, June 1.
On months when the first falls on a weekend or federal holiday, SSI payments are made on the preceding business day, according to standard SSA policy. Looking ahead, SSI recipients will see two payments in July – on the first and last days of the month, though the second payment (on July 31) is the August 2026 payment since Aug. 1 is a Saturday this year.
