Who does Texas Tech softball play next in Women's College World Series? Bracket update

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Texas Tech softball team will be staying in the 2026 Women’s College World Series for at least another day.

The Red Raiders stayed alive by taking down UCLA 8-7 in another nine-inning thriller on Sunday night at Devon Park. Texas Tech now moves into the WCWS semifinals, where it will need to win two games on Monday to return to the championship series later this week.

Texas Tech’s next opponent will be Alabama, which is 2-0 in the WCWS after wins over UCLA (8-3) and Nebraska (5-1) behind the ace pitcher Jocelyn Briski, who has gone the distance for the Crimson Tide in each of their first two games.

The winner of Monday’s set of games will take on either Tennessee or Texas in the championship series. Tech and Alabama will play their first game at 6 p.m. with the second game (if needed) beginning around 8:30 p.m.
