A motorcyclist died after a crash Saturday night in Hartville, according to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded at about 8:58 p.m. to a one-vehicle crash on Kent Avenue (state Route 43) between Andrews Street NE and Manning Road.
Preliminary findings indicate the southbound motorcycle crossed left of center, failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway, authorities said.
The motorcyclist was taken to Summa Akron City Hospital, where the rider was pronounced dead. The person’s identity has not been released pending notification of family members.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were assisted by the Canton Metro Crash Team and the Hartville Fire Department.
The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office and the Canton Metro Crash Team.
