Pittsford Sutherland is the No. 1 seed in the tournament that began May 21. The Knights last won a Section V title in 2024.
Honeoye Falls-Lima is the No. 6 seed. The Cougars aim for their first Section V title since 2023.

Cal Grasley reached base on an infield single to deep in the hole at shortstop. A line drive single by Austin Coyle put HF-L baserunners at first and second base, with no outs. A failed attempt to bunt turned into Chase Dermody’s 10th strikeout.
Dermody pitched to Marshall Adams, but the No. 7 HF-L hitter walked to load the bases. Dermody struck out his 11th HF-L batter in the game for the second out. Pinch-hitter Cook walked. That is the last batter for Dermody to face. Hudson Lanzeby went to the mound. Three pitches and the game was over.
