A flood watch is in effect as storms move through Greater Cincinnati.
Showers and a few severe thunderstorms could develop during the afternoon on Wednesday, May 27, with wind being the primary hazard, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
A flood watch has been issued for Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana through Wednesday night.
Excessive rainfall and runoff may flood rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Rainfall totals could reach up to 3 inches.
The weather advises residents − especially in flood-prone areas − to be ready to act if flooding develops. Make sure to monitor the latest weather forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings.
Temperatures will be in the upper 70s, with a high near 79.
Dry weather is expected from Thursday through early next week, with temperatures staying within a few degrees of normal, according to the NWS.
