The United States men’s national team is preparing for the 2026 World Cup, co-hosted with Canada and Mexico, with the Americans’ opening game set for June 12 against Paraguay in Southern California.
Before the tournament begins, the USMNT has two friendlies scheduled – May 31 vs. Senegal and June 6 vs. Germany – to get tuned up before the biggest World Cup in history.
After the opener against Paraguay, the USMNT faces Australia in Seattle and Turkey back in the Los Angeles area for the group stage finale. The top two teams from each of the 12 groups advance, now along with the eight best third-place finishers, giving the Americans a much better chance to advance to the knockout stage. The Round of 32 begins on June 29
