NEWARK – The Licking Valley softball team proved unmatched during its run through the Licking County League, and the Panthers continue to receive recognition for its perfect regular season.
Sophomore Emory Whisner has been named Player of the Year for the Buckeye Division by the LCL coaches. Valley’s Chad Dennis was named Coach of the Year.
Johnstown senior Addy Zak led the Johnnies to the Cardinal Division championship, and she was named Co-Player of the Year, sharing the honor with Newark Catholic senior Joanna Bailey. NC’s Mike Justice was named Coach of the Year.
