Will Illinois get a sunny Memorial Day? Here's the forecast

Experts forecast a stormy Memorial Day weekend for much of the country, with chances of thunderstorms and flash flooding potentially interfering with plans of barbecues, parades and parties.

Here’s what’s in the forecast for Illinois on Monday.

Central Illinois Memorial Day weather forecast

Luckily for residents in central Illinois, showers are expected to end by Sunday evening.

Monday is forecast to be partly sunny during the day with calm 6 mph winds and a high of 84 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will drop to around 61 degrees at night with some clouds.

Chicago Memorial Day weather forecast

Chicago will see similarly pleasant weather Monday, with a high of 84 degrees and sunshine during the day, according to the NWS.

The evening is predicted to be mostly clear with a low around 62.
