Michigan State baseball defeated Purdue in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Tuesday afternoon, and during that matchup, found out one of it’s stars had been honored by the Big Ten.
Ace pitcher Aiden Donovan has received the honor of being named All-Big Ten Second Team. Donovan, a sophomore from Commerce (MI), is tied for the league lead in games started with 14 starts. In his 14 starts, he has compiled a 3.84 ERA to go along with a 1.27 WHIP. Going 5-3 in his starts, Donovan compiled 56 strikeouts while walking just 20.
This is the first honor for Donovan in his young MSU career, but surely not the last, as the Spartan ace has much brighter days ahead in his baseball career.
