Here’s all the food options in the new strip mall on Gatlin Boulveard for easy snacking, special dinners or grab-and-go items.

1. Cali Coffee

This drive-thru and walk-up coffeeshop with no indoor seating opened its first Treasure Coast location in February 2024 in Stuart in Pineapple Plaza on Federal Highway.

Co-owner Craig Avera started working in the coffee industry at age 16. He spent most of his life in Oregon and California and met Pennsylvania native Rose White while working together in the fitness industry in Los Angeles, California.

They moved from Hollywood, California, to Hollywood, Florida, in 2017, to build their flagship location. They wanted to open drive-thru “stands” because people are busy and typically don’t have time to park, get out and stand in line.

Cali Coffee now serves quick breakfast items as well. The chain has 19 locations all around Florida and 11 more coming soon, according to itswebsite.

2. Jeff’s Bagel Run

Jeff’s Bagel Run, which opened in Ocoee, Florida, in June 2021, is the Treasure Coast’s first and only location.

It literally started as a “bagel run” — personally delivering freshly baked bagels door-to-door during the coronovirus pandemic. Jeff and Danielle Perera later expanded the business by selling bagels at local markets and events.

Every bagel is mixed, boiled and baked in-house throughout the day, so people can stop by even if they aren’t an early-morning person.

3. Jimmy John’s

Jimmy John’s is a nationwide sub shop.

This is the third location in Port St. Lucie and sixth on the Treasure Coast, including Stuart, Fort Pierce and Vero Beach.

Their menu features staple items and customizable sandwiches similar to Subway.

This location has a drive-thru window in the back of the strip mall.

4. Vicky Bakery

South Florida Cuban bakery chain, Vicky Bakery, has expanded its statewide footprint with its first location on the Treasure Coast.

Vicky Bakery owners and couple Antonio and Gelasia Cao opened their first location in 1972.

They met while working at La Vencedora, a bakery in Cuba, before fleeing to the United States as political exiles and settling in Miami. They saved up enough money to buy Vicky Bakery, a small bakery in Hialeah named after the original owner’s daughter.

You can find a wide array of Cuban desserts and cakes, finger foods and sandwiches.

5. Cafe 772 Cantina Express

Cafe 772 opened this third St. Lucie County location in October 2025.

Owners Carlos and Ashley Vera started Cafe 772 as a catering business in 2021, after Carlos lost his job as a chef at a Duffy’s Sports Grill during the coronavirus pandemic.

They started in the Parkway Chevron in Port St. Lucie and opened in 2023 in a BP gas station in Vero Beach, but closed those two locations in favor of sit-down restaurants.

Instead of waiter service, customers order at a counter and take the food to go, or eat at one of the tables inside. You can find Mexican, Cuban, Peruvian and Caribbean-style dishes.

6. Kinfolks Fried Chicken

Fort Pierce native Willie Roundtree opened Kinfolk Southern Eats and Treats on North 25th Street in Fort Pierce in 2018, but closed it in 2022. He opened Chicken & Waffles at Kinfolk in Lakewood Park in 2021, then added a homemade dessert shop next door. He opened Kinfolks Southern Kitchen in Stuart in 2022, but closed it in 2024.

His latest venture is this Kinfolks Fried Chicken, which he opened Dec. 13.

The soul food restaurant is known for Southern favorites, namely fried chicken; fried seafood baskets and soul rolls with your choice of fried chicken, jerk chicken or fried gator. Sides include okra, collard greens and mac and cheese.

7. Tacos Ponchos

Cynthia Sosa and her family opened this taqueria on Feb. 14, 2025, to celebrate the Mexican heritage of her father, who’s from Puebla.

They start work at 5 a.m. every morning to make the tortillas by hand. Their authentic street tacos and aguas frescas — including hibiscus, horchata, cucumber and tamarind — contain only fresh ingredients. Nothing is canned.

8. Dale Arepa Bar & Healthy Bistro

Rens and Sandra Leijtens own this Venezuelan restaurant, which features empanadas; arepas with beef, egg, ham, chicken, tuna salad or black beans; cachapas made of corn dough pancakes with soft white cheese; and much more. They serve all-day breakfast, bowls, fresh juices, soups and desserts.

They also have a location at 1758 S.E. Port St Lucie Blvd. in the Morningside Shoppes, and the original one in Miami.

9. Cafe Dolce Amore

“Coffee is more than a drink,” is this coffee shop’s motto. It celebrates quality artisan coffee, the lounge experience and Latin culture, including pastries and paninis from the Americas, according to its website.

“You can see how our coffee is roasted right in the shop. And you customize how your coffee is made or tastes,” its website says.

Owner Gisela Rodriguez of Port St. Lucie is Colombian. Owner Geovanni was born on a coffee farm in the Dominican Republic. His last name is not given on the website and the restaurant has not responded to TCPalm’s request for information.

10. Aji Peru

A small, family-run, Peruvian restaurant from Broward County has expanded to Port St. Lucie with a new name.

Owner Luis Chinchay and sisters Claudia and Itala, who are all from Lima, Peru, opened Oh Ceviche in Davie about 10 years ago. Inspired by his mother’s cooking, he wanted to “extend the line” of his culture and food to the people of Port St. Lucie.

The restaurant serves authentic Peruvian cuisine with dishes such as lomo saltado, causa de atun, pulpo al olivo, chaufa de pollo and more.
