Originally scheduled for 6:40 p.m., the first pitch of the four-game series was scheduled for 7:20 p.m.
Framber Valdez’s first pitch for the Tigers was at 7:23 p.m.
The last-place Tigers (20-27) enter the game 2.5 games behind the first-place Guardians (26-22) in the Central Division.
Valdez (2-2, 4.32 ERA) will face right-hander Slade Cecconi (2-4, 5.60 ERA), who starts for Cleveland.
