After re-signing Steve Kerr to a two-year deal, the Golden State Warriors can now turn their attention to free agency after the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft. Golden State will have plenty of spots to fill, as the team currently has 10 free agents from last year’s roster.
Of the 10, three hold player options, those being veterans Draymond Green, Al Horford and De’Anthony Melton. The Warriors also have three restricted free agents, point guard Pat Spencer, center Quinten Post and two-way contract guard Nate Williams. That leaves Golden State with four unrestricted free agents, headlined by Kristaps Porzingis, followed by Gary Payton II, Seth Curry and Charles Bassey.
Although the Warriors are keen on bringing plenty of these players back, they may have salary-cap limitations depending on whether or not Green opts into his deal or signs a contract extension at a lower price point.
