Voters in the Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District will head to the polls on May 19 to elect members to the school board.
Three candidates are running for two seats. The vote will take place from noon to 9 p.m. in the Middle School building located at 1554 State Route 488, Clifton Springs.

Shannon Passalacqua
“I am running for the Board of Education because I believe that demographics should not dictate destiny, and every student deserves a clear pathway to success. In my career overseeing collegiate natural science programs and coaching faculty, I see the ‘finish line’ of K-12 education every day. I know exactly what it takes for students to not just graduate high school, but to step onto a college campus or into a career with total confidence,” said Passalacqua in a statement.
Nathan Dingy
“As a parent preparing to send my daughter into the school system, this is deeply personal to me. I’m running to be a steady, accessible voice for our community, while also helping ensure the perspective of young families is represented as they begin their experience in the school system. I believe strong schools depend on clear communication and trust,” said Dingy in a statement.
Deb Galliher
“My commitment to our students and community is why I am seeking re-election to the Board of Education. I genuinely care about our students and am dedicated to advocating for them every step of the way. Over the past three years, I’ve gained valuable insights into the policies that shape our educational landscape and how we can work together as a Board to create the best possible outcomes for our students,” said Galliher in a statement.

Budget vote: Yes; Voters will have the opportunity to approve the district’s proposed 2026-2027 school budget.
