Visitors to Tilly Foster Farm in the Town of Southeast can explore beautiful pastoral views, a fishing pond, hiking trails, an Aermotor windmill and more.
Putnam County owns the property, which was brought back to life in recent years to restore that historic farm look. The farm is home to a variety of animals including chickens, donkeys and Scottish highland cattle. There’s also educational programs and a museum on site.
The 199-acre property houses a farm-to-table restaurant, Tilly’s Table, with much of the produce grown in the fields. During the summer months, the county hosts a concert series.
Tilly Foster Farm is free and open to the public seven days a week, except for certain holidays.
We are rivers, woods, mountains. Skyscrapers, sidewalks. Traffic. Solitude. A vibe. Cities, towns, villages, hamlets. Here, our photographers train their craft on what makes this place our place.
Check lohud.com every week to see where our photographer went for our newest lohud on location feature.
