The San Francisco 49ers were back on the practice field over the weekend as the team hosted their eight picks from the 2026 NFL draft and several undrafted free agents for their rookie minicamp.
Speaking with the media for just the second time since San Francisco selected him, 49ers defensive end Romello Height shared how excited he is to get to work with Nick Bosa.
“I can’t wait to talk to him and see how he goes about his day. See how he carries himself. I can’t wait to be around him,” Height said.
Height joins the 49ers after making four stops during his collegiate career at Auburn, USC, Georgia Tech and Texas Tech. In 50 games, he recorded 111 tackles (27 for a loss), 16.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception.
Bosa is the perfect player for him to learn from, as he’s been one of the most successful pass rushers in the league since San Francisco took him with the second pick in the 2019 NFL draft out of Ohio State.
With Bosa and 2025 first-round pick Mykel Williams rehabbing from torn ACLs that they suffered last season, Height could be asked to play a larger role than a third-round pick might usually. However, having Bosa around may help him be more well-prepared for his rookie season.
