There will soon be a new spot for golfers to grab a cup of coffee and practice their swing in Livingston County.
Grounds and Greens, an indoor golf simulator and coffee shop, will launch in the coming months inside two neighboring units at Crossroads Town Center in Howell. According to co-owner Justin Czarnowski, the units include a space that once held Crepe Studio (and before that, Howelling Coffee) and the former LACASA Collection.
The business is targeting a grand opening date in mid-August. The owners are currently working to transform the roughly 6,700-square-foot space.
Czarnowski will be in charge of the golf simulator portion of the business while his co-owner, Ali Abdallah, is tackling coffee. Abdallah owns the adjacent Howling Howell’s Smoke Shop.
There will be four regular bays open for online booking and walk-ins and a VIP room available for event rentals. Czarnowski said there’ll also be a “premier” putting green setup in the main area. The two sides of the business will be separated by an interior door.
The coffee shop will include both domestic and international coffees, plus food items like bagels, pastries and ice cream.
Grounds and Greens aims to be a “family-friendly” space for visitors to practice golf, according to Czarnowski, who’s lived in the area since 1996. While he owns a construction company, a forward-facing business has always been his dream.
“I get a lot of pleasure from seeing people happy,” he said. “I want to provide something for them that they can enjoy.”
