FSU softball earns top 10 seed in NCAA Softball Tournament

The FSU Seminoles are the No. 9 overall seed in the 2026 NCAA Softball Tournament, setting them up to host the Tallahassee Regional. The Seminoles went 49-8 during the regular seaosn, winning the ACC regular season and tournament championships.

It is FSU’s 12th straight season hosting a regional, and they have appeared in the NCAA postseason every year since 2000. They made it to the Super Regionals last season, losing to the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Seminoles are looking to make their 13th trip to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City.

FSU will host the No. 2-seeded UCF Knights, No. 3-seeded Jacksonville State Gamecocks, and No. 4-seeded Stetson Hatters. The Tallahassee Regional will start on May 15 and last until May 17.

The Seminoles are entering the postseason on a six-game winning streak and are 31-2 at home. Ace Jazzy Francik is playing some of the best softball of her career, being named the MVP of the ACC Softball Tournament. She has allowed just one earned run in her past 22.2 innings, giving up eight hits and striking out 19 batters.

FSU’s offense is scoring 7.4 runs per game and hitting .352 as a team. Isa Torres is hitting .542 with 16 home runs, 18 doubles, 42 RBI, and a .605 on-base percentage.
