PEORIA — The world’s largest Etch-A-Sketch and other retro toy attractions are coming to the Peoria Riverfront Museum.
The exhibit “TOYTOPIA” opens at the museum on Saturday, May 9 and will run through Sept. 7, according to the Peoria Riverfront Museum. It will feature the world’s largest Etch-a-Sketch, a LEGO wall and an ’80s arcade room, among other attractions.
“TOYTOPIA blends nostalgia with innovation. Visitors of all ages can explore the history behind the art, science, and engineering of the world’s most legendary toys,” the Peoria Riverfront Museum said in an announcement.
Other toy brands like Lincoln Logs, KNEX, Duncan Yo-Yo, Hasbro, Schleich, Breyer and Crayola will also be featured.
“We’re bringing TOYTOPIA, the largest collection of the world’s most iconic toys from the past century, to Peoria for the first time and into the largest space ever displayed, our 5,000 square foot Experience Gallery,” Peoria Riverfront Museum CEO John Morris said in a news release. “These are fun, giant-size versions of classic toys. It’s a one-of-a-kind exhibition, sure to unleash the full talent and genius of every individual.”
