What is Texas A&M baseball's RPI after dropping Auburn series?

After dropping two of three contests to Auburn over the weekend, Texas A&M baseball dropped one spot in this week’s updated college baseball RPI.

It was a lackluster start to the conference matchup against the Tigers, as the Aggies dropped Saturday’s doubleheader 18-5 and 5-4, but they bounced back nicely in the series finale for a 4-3 win and avoided the program’s first time being swept in 2026.

The series loss against Auburn marked Texas A&M’s first since March 21 against Georgia, which resulted in a slight drop from No. 4 to No. 8 in this week’s RPI. The college baseball RPI (Rating Percentage Index) is an NCAA formula that ranks teams based on the strength of their schedule.

Here is where the college baseball RPI stands entering the first week of May:

The Aggies have two series remaining, against Ole Miss (No. 13) and Mississippi State (No. 9), before the SEC Tournament. For Texas A&M’s hosting hopes to remain alive, it is integral for the Maroon and White to claim victories over the Rebels and Bulldogs.

Before the series opener against Ole Miss on Friday, Texas A&M faces Prairie View A&M on Tuesday night at Blue Bell Park. The non-conference contest is slated to begin at 6 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
