Who, when and where will your team play in the OHSAA softball tourney?

The tournament trails are set.

High school softball coaches in Division III, IV, V, VI and VII around the area met on Sunday, May 3 to figure out their paths to a district championship. Divisions I and II will meet on May 10.

Let’s take a look at who, when and where your favorite team will be playing in this year’s Ohio High School Athletic Association softball tournament.

Division III District

In the Division III district tournament, the Shelby Whippets picked up the No. 1 overall seed and will host Ashland at 5 p.m. on May 14 for a sectional championship. The Madison Rams are the No. 4 seed and took a first round bye and will play the winner of Shelby and Ashland at 4 p.m. on May 21 at Willard in the district semifinals. The district championship game will be at 11 a.m. on May 23 back at Willard High School against the winner of No. 1 Celina, No. 7 Tiffin Columbian, No. 2 Lima Shawnee and No. 6 Lima Senior.

In the other district bracket, Ontario earned the No. 2 seed and will host No. 6 Sandusky at 5 p.m. on May 14 for a sectional championship. Lexington took the No. 3 seed and will host No. 5 Norwalk at 5 p.m. on May 14 in a sectional final. The winner of those two games square off at 6 p.m. on May 21 at Willard in a district semifinal game. The district championship will be at noon on May 23 at Oregon Clay against the winner of No. 2 Toledo Notre Dame Academy, No. 3 Maumee, No. 5 Bowling Green and No. 7 Toledo Waite.

Division IV District

In the Division IV district tournament, the Clear Fork Colts took the No. 2 overall seed and will host No. 7 Vermilion at 5 p.m. on May 13 for a sectional championship. The winner will play No. 1 Oak Harbor at 2:30 p.m. on May 19 at Margaretta in the district semifinals. The district championship game will be at 5 p.m. on May 22 back at Margaretta against the winner of No. 3 Lima Bath, No. 7 Ottawa-Glandorf, No. 4 St. Marys Memorial and No. 5 Van Wert.

In the other district bracket, Galion earned the No. 6 seed and will travel to No. 3 Clyde at 5 p.m. on May 13 for a sectional championship. The winner takes on the winner of No. 4 Bellevue and No. 5 Perkins at 5 p.m. on May 19 at Margaretta High School in a district semifinal. The district championship will be at 5 p.m. on May 22 at Sylvania Northview against the winner of No. 1 Bryan, No. 5 Rossford and No. 6 Wauseon.

Division V District

In the Division V district tournament, the Crestview Cougars picked up the No. 5 seed and will travel to No. 4 Huron at 5 p.m. on May 13 for a sectional championship game. Willard is the No. 7 seed and will head to Elmwood at 5 p.m. on May 13 for a sectional title matchup. The winner of those two games will play each other in the district semifinals at 6 p.m. on May 20 at Clyde High School. The district championship game is at 5 p.m. on May 22 at Napoleon against the winner of No. 1 Archbold, No. 4 Evergreen and No. 6 Delphos Jefferson.

Division VI District

In the Division VI district tournament, Colonel Crawford was tagged as the No. 1 overall seed and took a first-round bye. The Eagles will face the winner of No. 4 New London and No. 6 Mansfield Christian. NL and MC will face off at 5 p.m. on May 12 at NL for a sectional championship. The district semifinal game will be at 3:30 p.m. on May 19 at Shelby. The district championship is scheduled for 5 p.m. on May 21 at a site yet to be determined against the winner of No. 1 Ada, No. 8 Lima Perry, No. 2 Carey and No. 7 Lima Central Catholic.

In the other district bracket, Wynford took the No. 2 overall seed and will host No. 7 Buckeye Central at 5 p.m. on May 12 for a sectional championship. South Central earned the No. 3 seed and will host No. 5 Bucyrus at 5 p.m. on May 12 in a sectional final. The two winners face off at 5:30 p.m. on May 19 at Shelby in the district semifinal. The district championship game is May 21 at Clyde at a time yet to be determined against the winner of No. 1 Margaretta, No. 2 Lakota and No. 7 Toledo Ottawa Hills.

In the Northeast District, Hillsdale earned the No. 2 overall seed and will host No. 31 Medina Christian at 5 p.m. on May 13 for a sectional championship. The winner takes on the winner of No. 21 Newton Falls and No. 23 Campbell Memorial at 5 p.m. on May 18 at the better seed’s site. The district championship is slated for 5 p.m. on May 20 at Wooster Triway against the winner of No. 11 Hanoverton United, No. 22 Waynedale, No. 6 Mineral Ridge and No. 28 Warren John F Kennedy.

Mapleton earned the No. 3 overall seed and will host No. 27 Wellington at 5 p.m. on May 13 for a sectional championship. The winner plays the winner of No. 7 Labrae and No. 26 Orwell Grand Valley at 5 p.m. on May 18 at the better seed’s site. The district championship game is scheduled for 5 p.m. on May 20 at Roehm Athletic Complex in Berea against the winner of No. 5 Dalton, No. 29 Brooklyn, No. 16 Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas and No. 19 Smithville.

Loudonville was tagged at the No. 15 seed and will travel to Columbiana Crestview at 5 p.m. on May 13 for a sectional championship. The winner take on the winner of No. 10 Mogadore and No. 25 East Canton at 5 p.m. on May 18 at the better seed’s site in a district semifinal. Black River earned the No. 17 seed and will host No. 20 Lake Center Christian at 5 p.m. on May 13 for a sectional championship. The winner plays the winner of No. 4 Independence and No. 30 Fairport Harding at 5 p.m. on May 18 at the better seed’s site in a district semifinal. The final two teams standing will play at 5 p.m. on May 20 at Massillon Perry for the district championship.

Division VII District

In Division VII, the Lucas Cubs took the No. 5 overall seed while Plymouth was tagged as the No. 6 seed. The two will face off against each other at 5 p.m. on May 15 at Lucas for a sectional championship. The winner will move on to play No. 1 seed Mohawk at 4 p.m. on May 20 at Buckeye Central in the district semifinals. The district championship will be at 2 p.m. on May 23 back at Buckeye Central against the winner of No. 2 Hopewell-Loudon, No. 6 Vanlue, No. 3 Arcadia and No. 7 Leipsic.

In the other district bracket, Crestline was tabbed the No. 7 seed and will travel to No. 3 Monroeville at 5 p.m. on May 15 for a sectional championship. The winner will play the winner of No. 2 St. Paul and No. 4 Seneca East at 6 p.m. on May 20 at Buckeye Central in a district semifinal. The district final is at 5 p.m. o May 22 at Oak Harbor against the winner of No. 2 Gibsonburg, No. 4 Sandusky St. Mary’s Central Catholic and No. 5 Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic.
