Who's hosting 'Saturday Night Live' May 2? Pop star pulling double duty

Live from New York, it’s “Saturday Night Live,” and this week’s host is pulling double duty.

Three-time Grammy winner Olivia Rodrigo is set to pull double duty as the show’s host and musical guest May 2. It will be the 23-year-old’s first time hosting the show, although she’s appeared in sketches before. It will be her third time serving as the musical guest.

Rodrigo is the latest star to grace the Studio 8H stage, with “The Odyssey” star Matt Damon following the next week. Colman Domingo, Jack Black, Harry Styles and Ryan Gosling were the most recent hosts on “SNL.”

Pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo will follow in Harry Styles’ footsteps, pulling double duty as the host and musical guest for the May 2 “SNL” episode.

This episode marks the pop star’s hosting debut and her third time as the musical guest. She previously performed in seasons 46 and 49.

Who is the musical guest for ‘Saturday Night Live’ on May 2?

Rodrigo will return to the Studio 8H stage after performing back in 2021 and 2023. The “Obsessed” singer will perform in support of her new album and upcoming tour.

She released “Drop Dead,” the first single off her new album, on April 16. Will fans get to see her perform the new hit on this week’s episode? You’ll have to tune in to find out.

How to watch ‘Saturday Night Live’ on May 2

All episodes of “SNL” premiere Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Those wanting to stream the show live can do so with a Peacock premium subscription, or stream new episodes the next day with a basic Peacock subscription.

Hulu + Live TV subscribers, or anyone with a streaming service that offers live TV capabilities, can also stream the show live on Saturday nights.

The show will be available to stream with a regular Hulu subscription Sunday, the day after a new episode airs.
