Nevs Barbecue didn’t just land on Food Network, it sold out.
When the Palm Beach Gardens barbecue spot opened the morning after its “Diners, Drive‑Ins and Dives” episode aired April 24, a line was already waiting.
By midafternoon, ribs were gone.
By early evening, brisket, burnt ends and more followed.
Kelsey Nevill, who owns the restaurant with her chef-husband Tommy, made the call to close around 7 p.m., with the last customers out by 7:30.
“Saturday is usually rib day,” Nevill said, “but we sold out much earlier than normal. Then throughout the afternoon we kept selling out of everything else.”
Two surprise stars emerged: the sloppy Joe and chili, both popular with first-time customers drawn by the Food Network spotlight.
“We had a lot of ‘I’ll have one of everything,’” Nevill said.
The momentum hasn’t slowed. Mondays, once quieter, now rival typical Thursdays and Fridays, and Nevill expects even larger crowds this weekend as the episode repeats and word spreads.
Beyond the smokehouse, Nevs is expanding its reach. The team has started bottling sauces and launched an online store last Friday, giving fans another way to bring the flavors home.
“We can’t wait to serve everyone,” Nevill said.
