Alliance Elks Lodge 467 has announced its April Teenagers of the Month. The students are selected by their respective schools based on scholarship, leadership, character, citizenship and service to school and community.
Alliance
Ashlynn Pennington: The daughter of Janene Pennington has been a state qualifier for wrestling for three years, and a champion at Top Gun. She also plays soccer and golf and runs track. She is involved with Like A GIRL and volunteers for Top Gun and Special Olympics. Ashlynn plans to become a certified nurse’s assistant.
Sander Kern: The son of Kevin Kern and Natalie Kern is a member of the soccer, tennis and cross country teams. He also is a member of Student Senate, National Honor Society and Speech and Debate, and is the class treasurer. He plans to attend Duquesne University to study international security, hoping to pursue a career in diplomacy or national security.
Louisville
Kaitlin Twinem: The daughter of John Twinem plays softball. She is a member of National Honor Society, Sources of Strength, Spirit Club, Jo’s Mentors, Spanish Club, Key Club, Student Council, FCA and Student Morale. She plans to attend University of Findlay to play softball while studying pharmacy.
Anthony Collier: The son of Emily Eckroate is a member of National Honor Society and 4-H, and plans to attend Ohio State University to study entomology.
Marlington
Emma Foith: The daughter of Joanne Foith and Jason Foith is president of the senior class and Spanish National Honor Society. She is a member of National Honor Society, Character Counts, Duke Crew, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Duke Street Select Vocal Ensemble, Marlington Chorale, Drama Dukes and Spanish Club. She was a 2025 Buckeye Girls State delegate and plans to attend Hamilton College to major in mathematics and Hispanic studies with a minor in music.
Bryson Jones: The son of Robin Jones and Andy Jones played football and basketball and is a member of National Honor Society and Duke Crew. He plans to attend Baldwin Wallace University to major in nursing.
Minerva
McKenzye Talkington: The daughter of Brion Talkington is a member of marching, jazz, concert and steel drum bands. She is a member of International Circle, SADD, Travel Club, National Honor Society and is an Aultman Ambassador. She plans to attend Ohio University to major in pre-med, neuroscience or biological sciences.
Keegan Shingleton: The son of Aaron Shingleton played football and basketball and runs track. He is a member of Cornhole Club and has received numerous academic honors. He plans to attend college with hopes to go into a medical field.
Sebring McKinley
Ava Coen: The daughter of Shanda and Michael Coen is on the cheer, softball and basketball teams. She is president of SADD, and a member of Language Club and Ecology Club. He plans to attend Malone University to study criminal justice.
St. Thomas
Ta’Leyah Williams: The daughter of Natasha Williams is captain of the cheerleaders and the softball team. She also played volleyball and runs track. She also is a competitive cheerleader. She is a member of Student Council, Key Club, Art Club and National Honor Society. She also is an attendance office aide. She is undecided on her future plans.
Azier Lipknis: The son of Percy and Artara Lipknis played basketball and plays baseball. He also is a member of Drama Club and is the class president. Lipkins plans to attend Bowling Green State University to study exercise science.
West Branch
Allison Kanagy: The daughter of Mikki and David Kanagy was captain of the basketball team, and is on the track and flag football teams. She formerly played soccer and volleyball. She is president of National Honor Society and Ruriteens, and a member of concert choir, school show choir and school musicals. She plans to attend University of Mount Union to study sports media with a plan to become a sideline reporter.
Adam Corallo: The son of Marco and Janelle Corallo is in marching, jazz and pep bands, musicals and show choir. He is band president and co-captain of the eSports team. He plans to attend Youngstown State University to study computer engineering.
