Sharonville man pleads guilty to stealing over 700 bank mail parcels

A Sharonville man stole over 700 parcels of mail meant for a national bank, officials said.

Isaac Jackson, 32, pleaded guilty April 29 to one count of mail theft, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio.

Jackson repeatedly entered a Sharonville mail distribution center in October. On Oct. 5, he used an employee badge to enter and stuffed two duffle bags with packages and letters intended for a national bank, the release stated.

Jackson entered the facility on Oct. 12, 13 and 26.

He ran after being stopped by an employee on Oct. 26, dropping bags containing 160 parcels of mail.

“The bank identified 769 mail parcels that were stolen from Jackson’s prior thefts,” officials said.

He must pay at least $235,000 as part of his guilty plea, the release stated. It is not immediately clear when his sentencing is scheduled for.

A phone call to the law firm representing Jackson was not immediately returned.
