BUENOS AIRES, April 28 (Reuters) – Judicial authorities in Argentina’s San Juan province said on Tuesday they issued a ruling to enable BHP’s Vicuna copper mining project to continue operations, after a court in a neighboring province ordered a suspension over environmental concerns.
Last week, police in La Rioja province blocked a road leading to the mining project and a local judge issued a suspension of activity at the project, which is being developed by Australia’s BHP and Canada’s Lundin Mining.
