Here is a look at the Greater Lansing high school boys swimming and diving Dream Team and all-area as selected by area coaches.
SWIMMER OF THE YEAR
Vincent Rose
Team: DeWitt
Year: Junior
Accomplishments: Rose was the state runner-up in the 100 breaststroke, placed sixth in the 100 butterfly and was part of a 200 medley relay that finished third and a 400 freestyle relay that placed fourth at the Division 3 state finals. Rose was the CAAC Blue champion in the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke and on champion 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
DIVER OF THE YEAR
Carson Reynolds
Team: DeWitt
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Reynolds was the Division 3 diving state runner-up. He also was a regional and CAAC Blue champion.
DREAM TEAM
Aaron Almy
Team: Grand Ledge
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Almy was the CAAC Blue diving runner-up and placed 15th at the regional.
Aaron Burm
Team: Grand Ledge
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Burm was fifth in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke at the CAAC Blue meet.
Grayson Busch
Team: DeWitt
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Busch finished ninth in the 100 backstroke and 500 freestyle and was part of a 200 medley relay that finished third and a 400 freestyle relay that placed fourth at the Division 3 state finals. At the CAAC Blue meet, Busch was the champion in the 500 freestyle, the runner-up in the 100 backstroke and swam on the winning 200 medley relay and runner-up 400 freestyle relay.
Jacob Calewarts
Team: DeWitt
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Calewarts took 14th in the 100 freestyle and 16th in the 50 freestyle and was part of a 200 medley relay that finished third and a 400 freestyle relay that placed fourth at the Division 3 state finals. At the CAAC Blue meet, Calewarts was the runner-up in the 100 freestyle, fourth in the 200 IM and swam on the champion 200 freestyle relay and on the runner-up 400 frestyle relay.
Jacob Cook
Team: Holt
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Cook placed 25th in the 50 freestyle, 30th in the 100 freestyle and was part of a 400 freestyle relay that finished 19th and a 200 medley relay that placed 22nd at the Division 2 state finals. Cook was the 100 freestyle champion, the 50 freestyle runner-up and part of a 200 medley relay that placed third in the CAAC Blue.
Bryce Delaney
Team: Mason
Year: Sophomore
Accomplishments: Delaney was ninth in the 500 freestyle and finished 24th in the 200 freestyle and part of a 400 freestyle relay that finished 22nd and a 200 freestyle relay that placed 25th in Division 2. Delaney was the 500 freestyle runner-up and fifth in the 200 freestyle at the CAAC Blue meet.
Colin Fitzgerald
Team: East Lansing
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Fitzgerald placed 12th in the 100 backstroke, was 33rd in the 200 freestyle and part of a 400 freestyle relay that finished 15th and a 200 medley relay that placed 18th in Division 2. At the CAAC Blue meet, Fitzgerald was the 100 backstroke champion, third in the 200 freestyle and on a 400 freestyle relay that placed fourth.
Marshall Hirschman
Team: St. Johns
Year: Junior
Accomplishments: Hirschman finished third in the 100 breaststroke and ninth in the 200 IM and was part of a 200 medley relay that placed 13th and a 200 freestyle relay that placed 17th at the Division 3 state finals. He finished third in the 100 breaststroke in the CAAC Blue.
Karim Hussein
Team: Okemos
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Hussein was 16th in the 200 freestyle, 21st in the 500 freestyle, part of a 400 freestyle relay that was seventh and a 200 freestyle relay that was 12th in Division 2. Hussein was the CAAC Blue champion in the 200 freestyle, was third in the 100 freestyle and was on the runner-up 200 freestyle relay and champion 400 freestyle relay.
Miles Jakob
Team: Holt
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Jakob placed 28th in the 100 breaststroke and was part of a 400 freestyle relay that finished 19th and a 200 medley relay that placed 22nd at the Division 2 state finals He finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke, fifth in the 200 IM and was on 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays that placed third at the CAAC Blue meet.
Aiden Latimer
Team: Okemos
Year: Sophomore
Accomplishments: Latimer finished 29th in the 200 IM and 35th in the 50 freestyle and was part of a 400 freestyle relay that placed seventh and a 200 freestyle relay that was 12th at the Division 2 state finals. At the CAAC Blue meet, Latimer was second in the 200 IM, 10th in the 100 breaststroke, on the champion 400 freestyle relay and runner-up 200 freestyle relay.
Auden Lenneman
Team: DeWitt
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Lenneman finished 17th in the 50 freestyle, 18th in the 100 freestyle and was part of a 200 medley relay that finished third and a 400 freestyle relay that placed fourth at the Division 3 state finals. At the CAAC Blue meet, Lenneman was third in the 50 freestyle, fourth in the 100 freestyle and on the champion 200 freestyle relay and runner-up 400 freestyle relay.
Vincent Manas
Team: St. Johns
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Manas finished 17th at the Division 3 state finals in diving and placed third at the regional and in the CAAC Blue.
Logan Moon
Team: Okemos
Year: Senior
Accomplishments: Moon was ninth in the 100 breaststroke and 27th in the 200 IM and part of a 200 medley relay that finished seventh at the Division 2 state finals. Moon was second in the 100 breaststroke, third in the 200 IM and on the runner-up 200 medley relay at the CAAC Blue meet.
Adam Rickerd
Team: Charlotte
Year: Junior
Accomplishments: Rickerd placed fifth in the 50 freestyle, sixth in the 100 freestyle and swam a leg on a 200 freestyle relay that finished 23rd and a 400 freestyle relay that finished 25th at the Division 3 state meet. Rickerd was the CAAC Red champion in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly and on champion 400 freestyle and 200 medley relays.
Kai Stibitz
Team: Okemos
Year: Freshman
Accomplishments: Stibitz was seventh in the 50 freestyle, 11th in the 100 butterfly and part of a 200 medley relay that finished seventh and a 400 freestyle relay that placed seventh in Division 2. At the CAAC Blue meet, he was the 50 freestyle champion, took second in the 100 butterfly and swam on the runner-up 200 medley relay and the champion 400 freestyle relay.
