18-year-old motorcyclist dies in Dearborn County crash

An 18-year-old motorcyclist died in a Dearborn County crash Friday evening, officials said.

Christopher Davis of Hooven was driving behind a Ford pickup truck on Interstate 74 around 7:45 a.m. April 24, according to a news release by Indiana State Police. He then struck the back of the truck and was ejected from the motorcycle.

Police said that he appeared to be speeding.

Davis died after being taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The truck driver was unharmed.

An investigation is ongoing, police said.
