Eagles’ Cooper DeJean on hand for Flyers’ Game 3 win

As the Philadelphia Flyers hosted Game 3 of their best-of-seven 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs first-round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night, former Iowa football legend and current Philadelphia Eagles star cornerback Cooper DeJean made an appearance in front of the sea of orange and black-clad fans from Xfinity Mobile Arena.

DeJean, who was selected by the Eagles with the No. 40 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has become a staple of the franchise’s secondary, entering his third professional season with a 2024 Super Bowl ring already under his belt. Through his skill set, the Eagles have been regarded as one of the NFL’s premier defensive units over the past few seasons, which has propelled Philadelphia to continued success.

As for the Flyers, DeJean and the rest of the crowd went home happy as Philadelphia defeated Pittsburgh by a 5-2 score to go up 3-0 in the series, with the possibility of a sweep of the Battle of Pennsylvania coming in Game 4 from Xfinity Mobile Arena on Saturday, April 25.
