Secret Skyline item goes viral after couple makes 'weird request'

It’s not uncommon for restaurants to have “secret” or “hidden menu” items, but did you know Skyline Chili has a hidden delicacy? Neither did we.

Until, that is, Jason and Kate McClearen, known as “The Everyday Chef and Wife” or @thechefandwife to their 189,000 Instagram followers, went viral for their order revealing the secret item: the Skuigoney.

“We have a weird request, if you don’t mind,” Kate, who grew up in the Cincinnati area, said at the drive-thru. “Is there a really fun creation that you guys have done in the back? It does not have to be on the menu, that you’d like to create for us?”

The Skyline worker shocked her with his reply, saying, “I can definitely do that.” The item was a Skuigoney with onion and mustard.

But what is it? Here’s what we know.

What is a Skuigoney?

A Skuigoney is basically a 3-way in a hot dog bun.

The Skyline employee told the McClearens the Skuigoney was one of the menu items he learned how to make when he first started working there.

“Essentially, it replaces the hot dog with spaghetti,” he told the couple.

Their thoughts?

“I wore all white. This is a mistake,” Jason said before taking a bite. Then, a shocking revelation hit. “I like this better than the dog,” he said.

Kate described the creation as a “handheld 3-way” before taking her bite. Overall, they agreed that Skyline is “still as good as it ever was.”
