Legendary jazz musician Herbie Hancock will perform May 8 at Palm Beach’s Glazer Hall as part of a special concert event.

A composer and pianist with a career spanning more than six decades, Hancock has produced such works as “Watermelon Man,” “Cantaloupe Island,” “Maiden Voyage,” “Chameleon” and “Rockit.”
Hancock has performed and recorded jazz since the 1960s. He is a 14-time Grammy Award winner and Academy Award recipient and has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Miles Davis, with whom he performed as a member of the Miles Davis Quintet before launching a solo career.
His music blends jazz, funk, rock and electronic styles, and his performances often include improvisation and genre-crossing arrangements.
Hancock will be joined at the Glazer Hall performance by James Genus on bass, Lionel Loueke on guitar, Terence Blanchard on trumpet and Jaylen Petinaud on drums.
The performance begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are priced at $275 to $325 and are available at GlazerHall.org or by calling 561-576-7860.
Glazer Hall is at 70 Royal Poinciana Way.
